Aden is the Creator, Writer and Producer of CBC’s hit digital series, virgins! (2022). Her first foray in film & television, she wrote and produced the format-bending CBC Gem series. She also runs ART+HEALTH (est. 2018), an arts-based mental health non-profit that she co-founded serving diverse communities in Toronto and surrounding regions.

Her bespoke production company, Miskeen Media (MM) was created to steward her unique voice and new creative visions to the screen while maintaining ownership of her creative IP. As MM looks to the future, the focus remains on telling nuanced stories of kinfolk drenched in humour and full of heart.

A multidisciplinary artist - writer - producer and mental health promoter, Aden is an intentional storyteller whose culturally-specific work speaks volumes to the communities she creates for. Beit creating conceptual photographs and community organizing around mental health or writing original & new stories, her work reinforces the full spectrum of our humanity. Aden creates as a means not an end, and always has a greater vision for where her work can take her and her community.
